Brrrrrrr!

Happy New Year! It is 27 degrees here in the Sunny South! I'm finally getting back into the swing of things after our long holiday break! Here are a couple of photos from our celebrations:

This is the gang that celebrated Christmas at Ma and Big Daddy's house! We were really glad to have Aunt Becky's family there (especially since she makes my favorite pie!), and it was exciting to meet Uncle Matt's favorite girl - Julie.

Here's a photo with Granny and Grandaddy at the end of Christmas day. Granny was pretty tired; she puts her whole heart into the day and we always have a great time.

One last photo of fireworks on New Year's Eve. Randall was kind enough to bring a bag full of all kinds of goodies!

Now for an update on the birds. We have a hard freeze warning in South Alabama tonight so the Bobwhites are being kept warm with a couple of ceramic heaters. They are getting near the end of their growth periods and we will be making decisions soon about what our next step will be with the quail. We aren't sure the feathers that they managed to pick off each other will be full enough to sell to hunters...so, we will let you know what we decide!
