They blend in really well!

Don't try to pick them up - they are poisonous!

On top of the rock, closer to the warmth!

Bill has taken the high spot!

Meet Carl and Bill...

A friend came over the other day with a little yellow bellied slider in a Wal-mart bag.  She found him wandering around in the foyer of the store and brought him to us for observation and safe keeping.  We named him Carl.  Joseph and I were walking in to the same store yesterday and Carl's brother, Bill, came running out to greet us.  So, we brought him home too.

I'm pretty sure that there will be more photos soon...

The Garden Advisors

I figure if she's willing to let him jump into her arms and if he's willing to trust her to catch him...then they can handle all my gardening questions!

So Good!

Getting Started

Onions and Squash

We've also planted tomatoes, bell peppers, rosemary, oregano, and basil.  We will add sweet potatoes next week and some broccoli later in the summer.

Hornet's Nest

I know...we should knock it down...and we probably will, but it has been fascinating to watch it grow.

Saturn and Mercury

Joshua was very disappointed that he couldn't get the camera to cooperate for a good shot of Saturn.  It was his best viewing yet.  He could actually see through the rings rather than viewing them as a straight line.

Joshua calls Mercury the elusive planet.  You have to know where it is, when it is there and find it fast to be able to view it.  He did all of that!!

Garden Guardian

No, I'm not a gardener...but I'm going to give it a try.  What I've discovered so far is that planting a garden is hard work!  This pitiful little tomato plant has been receiving some tender loving care.  I've already lost one squash plant so I'm hoping this tomato will survive.  Anyway, a special guardian moved in...can you see him?

Water Bill!!!

Now on to repairing...!!

Granddaddy's Goats

There are a lot of new baby goats at Granddaddy's house!

Joshua always enjoys catching them!
